SUMMER FLING 2018

 The Wisteria Community Association is holding their annual Summer Fling in the Park, on Sunday, June 24th from Noon until 6! The BBQ and Pig Roast dinner starts at 3pm, and is accompanied with music by Paul Gogo and others! This evening of great food and community helps support the Wisteria Community Association in their mission to feed and uplift Nanaimo's homeless and low-income families; with all proceeds going directly to services which benefit the individuals which need it the most within our community. 

 Hello! So, today was a great day for Community to come together, a bar-b-que pig roast, A big shout out to all the wonderful volunteers, cooks, security guards, The *Wave* Radio station , First Aid station set up, To Tanya , Doug, and Everyone who worked so effortlessly, to all the musicians who volunteered their talent and put on great performances, And a big Rave to Matthew, for Manning the pig roast! Honestly, @About 5:30-6am this cloudy cool morn, I was awake, and because I live across from the park, I happen to look out my front living room window and saw Matthew setting up and prepping and getting the pit started and he stayed the day! Wow, awesome job Matthew, Tu! ☺And the kids had fun, they danced, people mingled, Twas a great day!And a big shout out to a good friend Jayebird, who also put time and effort into this event, on the music side! I Always ask permission when taking people's photos and I apologize I did not get yr names, but Thank you to those who let me take the photos! 😊TYVM Wisteria Lane for yet another successful bar b que! 

What an awesome job everybody did....for Summer Fling....so great to see so many volunteers ......Caring and Sharing....

I also want to thank all those that donated to help make Summer Fling so good for so many.....even the rain didn't stop us!!.

I also wish to thank Mathew Stephens owner of Skillz 4 Kids....providing a Pig and doing a fantastic job of Roasting it....out of this world......

I also want to thank Donna and Mike and the crew for all the hard work doing all the prep work on the veggies and salads that went over so well......

And finally I want to thank all the people that came out in the rain to enjoy this beautiful BBQ .....Thank you Tanya and Doug and all your team for putting this all together.....as I said....it's about Caring and Sharing....
